Happy Easter
It was the most perfect Easter weekend that I can ever remember since living in Minnesota. We had a lovely time at Barb and Doug's today. Sula was a champ at church this morning and experienced her first Easter egg hunt. The pictures explain it all.
Sula has mastered the slide
With this beautiful early spring weather, we had a few opportunities to go play at the park this week. Last fall, Sula was not able to experience the playground in its entirety. Sure, she had lots of fun on the swings but she wasn't quite able to climb and play on any of the other equipment. Lucky for us Minneapolis is filled with great parks. Better yet, our local playgrounds are perfect for toddlers.
Bottom line- Sula has now mastered the slide. She can climb up and then go down the slide all by herself. It will be exciting to see what she masters next.
In this picture, Sula is trying to climb back up the slide (with a sippy cup in her mouth). There were a few parenting moments here. We were successful in getting her to climb back up using the stairs. However, it was tough convincing her to give up her milk.

Sula is 18 months old!
Happy half-year birthday Sula! We celebrated Sula's 18 month birthday on Friday by giving her a new baby doll and stroller. My how she loves babies!

One year later. What intense baby blue eyes!
Ready to Spring Forward
Took a little break from this family blog but the Hines family is ready to spring forward with full force. Corey's surgery was almost one month ago already and he is recovering so well. In fact, he was able to get out for a bike ride this past Sunday. We are thankful for each and every pain-free moment Corey gets to experience. Cheers to progress!
Yesterday we took Sula to the Minnesota Zoo to take full advantage of such a beautiful, sunny day. Sula got up close and personal with a few of our feline friends at the zoo.
