Mother's Day Weekend in Chicago

We just got back from a quick trip to Chicago to celebrate grandma Kreidich's 85th birthday and Mother's Day. I am exhausted but still managed to get some pictures posted.

A day in the life of Sula- the toddler

Playing with her "trees."

Cat hair patrol with the swiffer.

Sula loves to sit on the potty but hasn't done any business yet. I have a feeling diapers are here to stay for a long time, I was not potty trained until 3.5 years old.

This girl has rhythm

We got a tour of papa's practice space last week and Sula rocked the drums.

Sula- gardener in training

Sula has taken a strong interest in gardening, it runs in the family.

Sula takes her baby to see the spring flowers

Sula and I took a solo trip this afternoon to the arboretum to check out the spring flowers. It was much cooler than I anticipated but we were prepared with our spring jackets. Sula insists on taking her baby everywhere, this trip was no exception.

More pictures here!

Off to the playground

Yet another awesome playground in our neighborhood. This one has lots of toddler appropriate slides.

Sula wasn't so sure about this tunnel.

Swings are always a favorite.

She even enjoyed wearing her hat.

Bikes and Trikes

We took our first spring family bike ride this weekend with the Burley trailer. Sula was much more interested in her bike helmet this time and kept it on for a few minutes during the ride. Little by little we are getting her more comfortable with wearing a helmet.

Papa indulged in a new tricycle for Sula this weekend, the exact same one I had as a kid. She needs to get a little bigger to reach the pedals.
