Cribs Part 2

Sula has mastered the skill of standing up in her crib now and she really thinks it is fun. It is cute to watch her get down by just kind of falling. Enjoy this video.

Cribs Part 1

Sula has been working very hard at learning how to stand up in her crib. Here is a video taken just about a week ago. You will see that she can't quite make it all the way up but she sure is trying. It's very cute, enjoy!

I see trouble coming, here comes Sula!

Sula got some new teeth this weekend. Two of them popped up on the top and they are growing fast. Check out what else she is up to....

This is her new set of wheels! She can balance pretty good on this toy already.

Investigating the stereo equipment. She likes to get up on her knees now for a new vantage point.

"Hmmmm this looks interesting." There she goes again.

She can pull herself up on things now and stand up for a short time.

Father's Day Weekend

Sula with her 2nd cousin Kayden, these two trouble makers share the same room at Sandcastles Child Care.

Sula having a blast at Perkins.

Sula dressed pretty for the family wedding on Saturday.

I am happy to report that everyone remained healthy this weekend. Unlike last week, when Corey and I suffered through a bad case of Strep Throat. Thankfully, Sula never caught the Strep. Even so, it was a massive challenge taking care of her while we were both sick.

We began what was a gorgeous Saturday, by going to the Mill City Farmers Market in Minneapolis. I was on the hunt for some good local strawberries. Then it was off to cousin Kyle and Sally's wedding. Sula remained on her best behavior, allowing us to spend lots of time visiting with family.

To celebrate Father's Day today we went to breakfast at Perkins, by Corey's request of course. Unfortunately, rain foiled most of our plans for the rest of the day. We intended to go to Back to the 50's at the State Fairgrounds and then to the Stone Arch Festival in Minneapolis. However, we were not prepared to run about with a baby in the rain. Instead we relaxed at home and then went for ice cream at the Pumphouse Creamery. What a local treat, this is my new favorite ice cream place!

Sula is 9 months old!

Sula in deep thought.

Sula trying on her new Roxy surfer suit, all ready for the pool.

Last Friday Sula had her 9 month check up. I am proud to report that she is in perfect health. Here are here stats:

Weight: 18 lb 1 oz (37 percentile)
Height: 2' 4.5" (82 percentile)
Head size: 43.2 cm (27 percentile)

Her stats read tall and skinny with a normal sized head!

She is doing the full crawl now and pulling her self up on things. It's a crazy time keeping track of her.

Happy First Birthday Ivy Tierney

Ivy enjoying her first birthday cake.

Look at those baby blues.

Girl power.

We attended Ivy's kid-crazy B-day party today. Many of our friends had baby girls this past year and it is so much fun to watch them grow up.

The Annual Blizz Birthday BBQ

What a nice smile. Do you notice anything different?

The spread, well some of it at least.

Sula eating puffs the day before.

Sula helping her papa open his birthday present.

Happy Birthday Corey (aka papa Blizz)!

Another year, another successful Blizz BBQ. We managed to have lots of fun despite the rainy weather. I will post the recipe for the magical punch we made another time.

Missing Grandpa

Sad news to pass along, my grandpa (Bud) died this past Thursday. The thought that he is really gone is still sinking in. A memorial service is being planned for the first week of July. I am not sure if we are going to be able to make it. No matter what we will be there in spirit.

I am finding a lot of peace and closure in the fact that we got to say good-bye to grandpa over Memorial Day Weekend.

He is loved and will be missed dearly.
